Etsy anyone?

So, I'm debating, on trying to sell our photographs as artwork, what do you think?

I've been looking on Etsy, and think that it would be practical, if I could get any business. I'm definitely open to the idea of giveaways to promote, and have some fun ideas for products.

I can easily do notecards/stationary with personally taken photographs. I'm looking for a cheaper alternative for playing cards and coasters. Would definitely sell both wall prints and wall art, possibly canvas wraps, though they'd be a bit pricey due to my cost in making them.

What do you think?

Here's a little preview of the type of images I'm thinking of.

Gotham Wedding

This was an interesting wedding to shoot. Not for the typical reasons of off-color family, a little over indulging or crazy themes, but because this couple was not your typical young and head over heels in love couple. They were a bit more on the mature side, neither of their first marriages, but still just as in love, still just as anxious and excited and still, just as beautiful. I'll admit, I was a bit apprehensive about shooting this wedding. I couldn't for the life of me come up with anything creative to do with a wedding of 60 year olds, but it worked!

Take a look!

Jessica

Jessica was both a joy and sorrow to photograph yesterday. A joy because she's one of my favorite girls, a sorrow because she's moving half way across the country on Monday!

I've known Jess since she was 8, she's now a 16 year old junior in highschool. I babysat her, taught her piano, was her youth leader, worship director for youth group, and I think after this much time, definitely friend. She loves church, Jesus, being happy and being with her friends. We'd planned to do Jess's senior pictures next summer, but because of the move that doesn't look like it'll be happening, so we had a for fun shoot yesterday.

She was a joy to photograph, smiles easily and naturally basically all the time, and laughed at my goofy quirks. I tend to talk to myself, occassionally out loud while I'm shooting, and with Jess, that brought out this easy laughter that made for sparkling eyes and big smiles.

Gorgeous girl, inside and out. It was a pleasure to do your pictures Jessica! Miss you already girl!
