Joelle Hope

Joelle and her mommy Theresa are good friends of mine. Theresa's known me in many ways through the years, and therefor I was one of the first non-family people in their house after Joelle was born. I was there when she went into labor, and then I was there 5 days later with my camera to do her first photo shoot. These are from Joelle's 1 year pictures, taken in AUgust of this year.

This little girl is one of "my" babies. She knows my voice when I enter their house and gets all excited to come find me. When I babysit it's no problem that mom's not there, I'm good enough. I love this little girl. She's a champion eater, climber and crawler. She walks, but not if she doesn't have to, she's a speed demon on her knees, so walking's just not interesting for her, it's boring because it's so slow. She's a drama queen and usually quite vocal. She knows her Pooh characters by name, and has her hand full of phrases, but her "tada!" accompanied by "jazz hands" is my personal favorite. :)

Kelly's Prom

My little girl, who I used to babysit, is a Senior right now, she's graduating in June, and this past May I not only did her makeup for prom, but I was her family's photographer as well. How can someone who was 9 years old, not allowed to use the stove and had to go to bed at 9:00 be graduating highschool so soon? I feel old, and she's not even mine! But, she is gorgeous, and oh so grown up!

Katrina's Prom

Katrina is one of my favorite teenage girls ever! Actually, both girls are named Katrina, but the one in Lavender is the good friend of mine. I was actually Katrina's small group leader in Junior High and now she's a Junior in Highschool and a good friend. She asked us to do her prom pictures and when we got there we had no idea how involved this would be. There were at least 15 prom couples there and we ended up shooting pictures for her family and then for her friend, another Katrina's, family as well. The yard they met in for the pictures was amazing. They had a bridge over a small creek leading into a pond with a fountain and lilacs everywhere, seriously, it was THE yard to do pictures in!

Abby and Sarah

Abby and Sarah are my best friend Megan's little sisters. They're twins who graduated this past summer. We did their Senior Portraits on a very hot and humid August day. They were good sports about it though, when it's 90 and humid and a little breezy it's not fun to pose all over a park in semi-dressy clothes for an hour.

This wedding was so much fun to see take place! They were married in the groom's mom's garden, on three days notice. They'd been a couple for over 5 years and had always planned to get married, but both their military careers kept getting in the way. They'd both been reservists to serve at separate times, and being pulled apart and sent overseas separately. Her enlistment had just ended and he was getting sent back overseas to Germany, and the base allowed spouses, so they got decided to get married on three days notice. Her dress was a white sundress from Macy's, the cake was homemade by the mom's best friend, and the village mayor married them. They were so excited, she couldn't stop laughing and crying the whole time.

This is the first wedding we really truly shot completely together. It was outside, it was bright, it was hot, and it was interesting. This couple had been highschool sweethearts who already had two kids together and were finally going all out and getting married. They'd been through alot together and you could tell. They had history, and worked really well together. You couldn't say that for the rest of the extended family and friends, but as a couple, they were great.

Megan and Brendon

These are two of our best friends. Another wedding Adam shot alone because I was in it. Another very hot, summer wedding. They got married on God's Perfect Number July 7th, 2007. It was sunny, and bright and now terribly humid and the colors of their wedding were absolutely spectacular!

I honestly can't remember this couple. Adam shot this wedding alone less than a month before our wedding. I was in that seating chart, favor making, starting to freak stage of the wedding planning and he was shooting someone else's wedding way too close to ours. I do remember it being the last snow of the year and simply beautiful out though. If you're going to have a snowy wedding, have it in March, because you know the Spring is coming soon.

Jen & Brett

These are our good friends Jen and Brett. They were married in June 2006, right after our wedding and all these pictures are Adam, as I was in the wedding. It was gorgeous that day! Perfectly sunny, though with the sun came the heat, but it was worth it.
