Gotham Wedding

This was an interesting wedding to shoot. Not for the typical reasons of off-color family, a little over indulging or crazy themes, but because this couple was not your typical young and head over heels in love couple. They were a bit more on the mature side, neither of their first marriages, but still just as in love, still just as anxious and excited and still, just as beautiful. I'll admit, I was a bit apprehensive about shooting this wedding. I couldn't for the life of me come up with anything creative to do with a wedding of 60 year olds, but it worked!

Take a look!

Jessica

Jessica was both a joy and sorrow to photograph yesterday. A joy because she's one of my favorite girls, a sorrow because she's moving half way across the country on Monday!

I've known Jess since she was 8, she's now a 16 year old junior in highschool. I babysat her, taught her piano, was her youth leader, worship director for youth group, and I think after this much time, definitely friend. She loves church, Jesus, being happy and being with her friends. We'd planned to do Jess's senior pictures next summer, but because of the move that doesn't look like it'll be happening, so we had a for fun shoot yesterday.

She was a joy to photograph, smiles easily and naturally basically all the time, and laughed at my goofy quirks. I tend to talk to myself, occassionally out loud while I'm shooting, and with Jess, that brought out this easy laughter that made for sparkling eyes and big smiles.

Gorgeous girl, inside and out. It was a pleasure to do your pictures Jessica! Miss you already girl!

Sanders Family Photo Shoot

Aaron and Laurie are good friends of mine, which makes their children good friends of mine. So, when after a few for fun, casual photo shoots, Laurie wanted to hire me to take official family pictures for Grandparents Day and their Christmas card, I couldn't have been more willing!

We took lots of pictures with the trees,
Climbing

Hugging

Making silly faces

and cute faces

and some really silly faces!

And then we decided to just have some fun :)

Aidon and Emma

A little over two years ago I was in this little guys mommy's wedding. A little over one year ago I was taking newborn pictures of this little guy. Now, he's the big guy in the house! Welcome Emma! One of my best friends Megan and her husband are now the proud parents to TWO little ones! Yikes!

Here are a few favorites from our most recent photo shoot.

What started out as this.......

Quickly led to this......
So this little boy went down for a nap and we had some fun with his new, 2 week old baby sister

Meet EMMA GRACE!!!!!
Already fascinated with herself at 15 days old!

And so expressive!
Wide eyed!
And more than willing to let me take pictures of her adorable little baby feet!Tummy time!

Amazing! She can hold her head up for a good 10 seconds at 15 days old, I think Megan's going to have her hands full early!
Okay, that was tough work!!Are we done yet?
